Cleaning up the MCRF

Welcome to a new issue of our frontpage magazine! Before you continue scrolling down, please take a moment to read the following: you may have noticed that the MCRF has been running a little slowly the past weeks. In order to improve this, a thorough clean-up of the board is necessarry. This clean-up will mostly effect My Fictional Romance, since that is the largest and most active section of the forum. Old and inclompleted stories will be removed. This goes for stories that haven't been updated for a month. Authors will be informed of this, don't worry about your story being deleted right now. We have decided to create one thread for all poetry, which means the poetry threads in Fictional will be gone. If you have posted a poem you will be informed about this. Besides the Fictional forum, expect old threads to be cleaned up all over the MCRF. Picture threads will be cleaned or deleted, as well as threads in Artificial with images that don't work any longer. General, Other and Entertaining will also be cleaned up. If you have any questions about this, please contact one of the moderators or admins.

MCR news

The US-tour has come to an end (read all about the tour here), which means My Chemical Romance has returned home and will start their well deserved break! How long this break will last nobody can predict. Recently, there has been talk about two years, but being work-aholics like they are, they may not last that long. A show here and there, writing new songs, demo-ing new material... In the mean time, the MCRF is still up and running! Talk to your friends here, post pictures, stories and memories! And of course, we will have the new DVD which will keep us busy for a while! Read more below.

After a first version saying it would be released in April, now we know MCR's new DVD will see the light on June 24th. The expectation is high, specially because fans will be able to pre-order it beginning on May 5th when the site theblackparadeisdead.com comes to life. Last March, a MySpace bulletin sent by The Bouncing Souls, confirmed that Frank Iero had finally gotten married. The boardies have been leaving their best wishes in this thread, so go ahead if you want. But please, don't post any pictures because that's against the forum rules! Frankie's married

Is MCR a big part of your life? You hardly spend a day without searching the Internet for information about their last move? Yes? Then... have you though of what you'll do when they finally take their deserved break? Share it! How are you going to spend MCR's break?

There hasn't been exclusively good news concerning the band the past couple of months. We all remember the ill-informed article published in the Daily Mail a couple of years ago, dubbing MCR an 'emo death cult'. Well, they're at it again, and this time they go as far as to link the guys to a young girl's suicide. We all know that what they're accused of is exactly the opposite of what MCR is all about, yet the media don't seem to understand this. If you want to take an active part in educating the media, you can visit mylivingromance.org, an organisation dedicated to showing the true meaning behind MCR, from fans' perspective. As they say: "It's a friendship. They stand up for us - we stand up for them. And most of all, they have taught us to stand up for ourselves. So stand up fucking tall, support us and fight the good fight. The more the media says My Chemical Romance is bad, the more we prove them wrong. Join us and be part of the story."

Reports of fans showing their love for MCR in the wrong way have multiplied together with their growing success. Some of those 'demonstrations of affection' are totally disrespectful and because of that fan meetings have been fewer and fewer. Two boardies considered that something's seriously wrong when a band has to start fearing their fans, and decided to do something to try to bring respect and manners back.
